Karina Tantalean U.S History 2 Period 1 Mr. Emmerling Dear untested bonkr,             In the year 1917, I immigrated to the United States at the date of 17 and during this time they had passed a law that any immigrant oer the age of 16 had to be literate in a language. Luckily I am Irish and can state English although in an accent, because intimately of the Asians were banned because of their language in which almost no 1 understood. When I arrived, they asked me to intercommunicate and I did but I did so as to which they could sort of deduct me and so, for some reason, they sent me to wiz part of the mess and over every last(predicate), people were just separated by and by into little groups. I assumed because of the language that they would speak in. However, so wholenessr my arrival to Ellis Island, all of us on the ride truism the Statue of liberty, and many of them yelled out to her as if she were real greeting us. Granted that many of us were from different countries in that one boat alone, and therefore speaking different languages, we all knew what the otherwise was saying.
